This is where my modding began was reading this PDF all of the way through and it does a great job working as a starting point. It walks you through what each of the files do, some of the things you can do in each and takes you through a tutorial for adding in a new quest. This really is the best guide on how the module system works. This is fairly comprehensive on how to get the module system setup and ready to go for modding and still contains accurate information. The top three that I would recommend are as follows: The module system hasn't really changed much in the last 4 years so most of the tutorials from that point on are still quite relevant. There is a lot of great tutorials out there for explaining how the module system works though they may seem outdated at first glance.
